Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 25, 2026

These terms explain how you may use YouTube to MP3, what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. We have kept them short and in plain words, so please read them before you use the tool.

Acceptance of these terms

By opening or using any page of YouTube to MP3, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, ask a parent or guardian to read these terms with you before you use the service.

What the service does

YouTube to MP3 is a free online tool. You paste a YouTube link, such as a normal watch link, a youtu.be short link, a Shorts link, a mobile link or a YouTube Music link, and tap the button. The tool looks up the video live and shows its title, its length and a list of available formats.

You can choose MP3 audio at 320, 256, 192, 128 or 64 kbps, or MP4 video at 144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p or 1080p. Each video quality shows its file size before you tap it and includes sound. Higher kbps means fuller audio and a larger file, while lower kbps keeps a spoken lecture or audio note small.

When you tap a format, the file opens in a new browser tab directly from YouTube's video servers. We do not host, copy or store any audio or video files, and you do not need to sign up or install an app or extension.

Personal, non-commercial use

The service is meant for personal, non-commercial use. Saving a recorded lecture you are allowed to keep, a language lesson to replay on the bus, or a practice track you made yourself are the kinds of uses we have in mind.

You may not use the tool, or any file you save with it, to make money, to build a product or to serve other people as part of a business.

Copyright and your responsibility

You alone are responsible for what you choose to save. Most videos on YouTube are protected by copyright, and saving them without permission may break the law where you live as well as YouTube's own terms of service.

Only use YouTube to MP3 for content that falls into one of these groups:

  • Videos and audio you created and own yourself
  • Works in the public domain
  • Content published under a licence that allows saving, such as some Creative Commons licences
  • Content whose owner has given you clear permission to save it

Things you must not do

To keep the service working fairly for everyone, you agree not to:

  • Use the tool to break any law or to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights
  • Send automated or mass requests through bots, scripts or scrapers
  • Overload, probe, attack or try to get around the security of the site
  • Resell, rent out, reframe or repackage the service or the files it gives you
  • Distribute copyrighted material you have saved without the owner's permission
  • Pretend to be YouTube to MP3 or suggest that we endorse you

No affiliation with YouTube or Google

YouTube to MP3 is an independent website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC, and we use the name only to describe which links the tool works with.

Third-party content

Every video and track you see through the tool belongs to its creator or rights holder, not to us. We do not create, check or control that content, and we are not responsible for what it contains.

The site also relies on outside services: Google Analytics and cookies for anonymous visit statistics, and Cloudflare for hosting and security. Their own terms and policies apply to those services.

Our own content and design

The text, layout, design and code of YouTube to MP3 belong to us. You may read and share links to our pages, but you may not copy the site, its guides or its design for another website or product without our written permission.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without any promise that it will always work, be error-free or suit a particular purpose.

Some videos may not be available at all. Private, age-restricted, members-only, removed or region-blocked videos may not work, live streams that are still running cannot be saved, and a playlist link only gives you the one video it points to. YouTube can also change how it works at any time, which may affect the tool without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, YouTube to MP3 and the people who run it are not liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, the service. This includes lost data, problems with files you saved, and any legal claims that arise from content you chose to download.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under the law of your country.

Changes and availability of the service

We may update, pause, limit or remove any part of the service, including formats and supported link types, at any time and without warning. We may also block access for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the tool.

Copyright complaints

We respect the rights of creators. If you own the rights to content and believe the tool is being used to infringe them, send us the details through our Contact page and we will look into it quickly. Please include:

  • Your name and how we can reach you
  • The link to the work you own and the link of the video in question
  • A short description of the work and why you believe your rights are affected
  • A statement that the information you give is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for them

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time, for example when the tool changes or the law requires it. The updated version will be posted on this page and applies from the moment it is published. If you keep using YouTube to MP3 after a change, you accept the new terms.

If you have a question about these terms or need to report a problem, please reach us through our Contact page.
