Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This page explains, in plain words, what information YouTube to MP3 handles when you use the site, what it never touches, and the choices you have. We kept it short enough to actually read.

Overview

YouTube to MP3 is a free tool that lets you save the audio of a YouTube video as an MP3, or the video itself as an MP4. Plenty of our visitors are students saving a lecture for the bus ride, language learners keeping a listening exercise, or musicians grabbing a practice track. None of that requires us to know who you are.

The tool was built to work without collecting personal details. Where some information is handled, such as basic technical logs or anonymous visit statistics, this policy says so and explains why.

What We Do Not Collect

Some things simply never reach us, because the site doesn't need them to work.

  • No account: there is no sign-up, login, or profile, so we don't ask for your name, email address, or password.
  • No files kept: the site hosts no audio or video files. When you tap a quality, the file opens straight from YouTube's video servers in a new browser tab.
  • No download history: we keep no record of which videos you looked up or which qualities you chose.
  • No payment details: the tool is free, so there is nothing to bill.

The Video Link You Paste

When you paste a YouTube link and tap the button, that link is sent to our lookup so the tool can fetch the video's title, length, and the list of available qualities, including MP3 bitrates from 64 to 320 kbps and MP4 resolutions up to 1080p.

The link is used once, for that single lookup, and is never stored. The video details are fetched live for you and are not saved afterward. If you paste the same link tomorrow, the tool looks it up again from scratch.

Information Collected Automatically

Our site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Like almost every web host, Cloudflare automatically records standard technical information whenever a browser connects to a website.

This information is used for security, such as spotting and blocking abusive traffic, and to keep the site running properly. We do not use it to identify individual visitors or to build profiles.

  • Your IP address
  • Your browser type and version, and your device's operating system
  • The date and time of the request
  • The page that was requested

Google Analytics and Cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in general: for example, how many visits we get, which pages people open, and roughly which countries visitors come from. These statistics are anonymous and help us improve the tool. Google Analytics relies on cookies, which are small text files stored in your browser.

You stay in control of cookies. Every modern browser lets you block cookies, delete the ones already saved, or browse in a private window that clears them when you close it. The tool still works if you refuse cookies.

If you prefer that Google Analytics doesn't collect data from your visits on any website, Google offers a free browser add-on that opts you out. You can find it by searching for the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Messages Sent Through the Contact Form

If you write to us through the Contact page, we receive the details you choose to include, usually your name, an email address so we can answer, and your message.

We use this information only to reply to you. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share your message with anyone for marketing.

Third-Party Services

A few outside services are involved in running the site. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

  • YouTube and Google: the source of the video and audio files. When you open a file, your browser connects directly to YouTube's video servers, and Google may handle that request under its own policies. YouTube to MP3 is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
  • Cloudflare: hosting and security for the site, including the technical logs described above.
  • Google Analytics: anonymous visit statistics, using cookies as explained in the section above.

Children

YouTube to MP3 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal details, for example through the contact form, please let us know through the Contact page and we will delete that information.

Data Security

The simplest way to protect data is not to keep it, which is why the site stores no files, links, or download history. Connections to the site are encrypted, and Cloudflare helps defend it against attacks and abuse.

Still, no website or internet connection can be guaranteed completely secure. We take reasonable steps to protect the small amount of information we do handle, such as contact messages, and we limit who can access it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. We respect these requests wherever they apply.

To make a request, send us a message through the Contact page and tell us what you would like us to do. Because we keep so little, there may be nothing linked to you, but we will always check and answer.

  • Access: ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Deletion: ask us to erase information, such as a past contact message.
  • Objection: object to how your information is used, including for analytics.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the site changes or when laws require it. Any new version will appear on this page, and the changes take effect as soon as they are posted. If you keep using YouTube to MP3 after an update, that means you accept the revised policy, so it's worth checking back now and then.

If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, please reach out through our Contact page and we'll be glad to help.
