YouTube to MP3 is a small, independent project run by a team that spends a lot of time learning from online videos. We built a simple YouTube to MP3 converter so a good lecture or lesson can come with you wherever you go.
A converter built for learners and creators
Many of the most useful things on YouTube are really audio: a professor walking through a proof, a teacher repeating vocabulary slowly, a backing track for guitar practice, a podcast-style interview you want to study. Watching them always requires a screen and a connection. Listening to them as MP3 files on a commute or a walk is often easier.
That is the person we had in mind: the student reviewing notes before an exam, the language learner looping a dialogue, the musician practicing along to a track, the creator saving their own uploads for reference. When you need the picture too, the same tool also offers MP4 video.
How our YouTube to MP3 tool works
You paste a YouTube link into the box and tap the button. Regular watch links, youtu.be short links, Shorts, mobile links and YouTube Music links are all accepted. The tool looks the video up live and shows its title, length and the available qualities.
For audio, you choose a bitrate in kbps, which simply means how much data is used for each second of sound. Higher numbers keep more detail and make larger files; lower numbers make smaller files that still work well for speech.

The converter is free to use. There is no account to create, and no app or browser extension to install. It runs in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook. If you open the site inside an app like Instagram or TikTok and the download is blocked, open it in Chrome or Safari instead.
We do not store videos or audio. Video details and links are fetched live for each visit and are not saved, and we keep no download history. When you tap a quality, the file opens directly from YouTube's video servers in a new tab. To understand how the site is used, we rely on Google Analytics and cookies for anonymous visit statistics, and Cloudflare handles hosting and security.
